Meet Our Team
Gregory L. Laker is a partner and chair of Cohen & Malad, LLP’s personal injury practice. Greg leads the Sexual Abuse Litigation Team for the firm. He has over 30 years of experience helping people in complex personal injury, medical malpractice, and sexual abuse litigation. As a father, he is especially passionate about advocating for children who experience sexual abuse. He has handled cases against schools, churches, major corporations, daycare centers, and individuals involving sexual abuse of children. Greg has also represented victims of various crimes including rape, gun violence and shootings, and dram shop — or over-serving of alcohol. Greg volunteers his time in the community and is a member of the Riley Society Board for the Riley Hospital for Children. He also volunteers his time and legal advice to various advocacy organizations assisting survivors across Indiana.
Daniel S. Chamberlain is a partner and member of the Sexual Abuse Litigation Team at Cohen & Malad, LLP. Dan Chamberlain has over 20 years of experience serving personal injury clients, specifically advocating on behalf of traumatic brain injury victims and their families. Dan has litigated a variety of personal injury claims in state and federal courts such as traumatic brain injury, birth injury, sexual abuse, medical malpractice, and other matters. Dan is a Board Member of the National Crime Victim Bar Association. He is a member of the executive committee for the Brain Injury Association of America in Washington, D.C. as well as the Brain Injury Association of Indiana that works at the local and state level to advocate for the rights of people and their families who have been impacted by traumatic brain injuries.
Andrea Simmons (Andi) focuses her practice on serving victims of sexual abuse and medical malpractice. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation involving personal injuries, as well as insurance policyholder disputes in numerous states. For more than 30 years, Andi has litigated a variety of cases in Indiana and federal courts.
Gabriel A. Hawkins is a partner and member of the Sexual Abuse Litigation Team at Cohen & Malad, LLP. Gabriel is a trial lawyer with over 15 years of experience fighting for people in medical malpractice, personal injury, sexual abuse, and class action matters. He also serves the firm in a leading role for complex litigation and appeals. His notable casework includes representation of survivors of sexual abuse as well as people injured by businesses in premises liability and dram shop, or over-serving of alcohol, negligence.
